I just updated from window 8 to 8.1 and my Wireless does not work. I did another window update after still nothing. It does work if I plug the cable. When I look at the internet uptions it does not see any Wireless connections.

Please help.

Though Hardware can be different, but can be similar issue.

This issue can be caused by driver or compatible issue.

Please contact manufacturer to ask for the wireless network adapter driver which is compatible with Windows 8.1.

Try following steps:  

Step 1: Turn off power management on network adapter:

1.        Open Network and Sharing Center.
2.        Click the Change adapter settings link in the upper left of the navigation pane.
3.        Right click the network connection you want to enable/disable power management support on and click Properties .
4.        Click Configure .
5.        On the Power Management tab, clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.

Step 2: change settings of wireless network adapter in power option as Maximum performance.

Step 3: If it doesnt work, please refer to this blog, and try to roll back to the older version of network adapter driver which apply to Windows 8 to check the results.

Step 4: please check with the manufacturer of your router to update the firmware, also try to move to another network environment to see if there is same issue.
