Have lost the functionality of the "start" ikon with left click with W 10. can right click on it and brings up a list but does list not show windows 10 "settings" or "apps" to make changes as the "start" screen did. Also have no "search" functionality with either right or left click with this screen though "search" is listed.

Have also lost the "Edge" browser someway (not pleased with it, anyway. Back to Chrome). So, short of trying to reinstall 10, don't know what to try.

Run the System File Checker tool.

sfc /scannow

Then open PowerShell as Administartor and type the next command.

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
