windows 7
So I have an HP running on windows vista connected to a wireless router. I purchased a new HP that has windows 7 on it. I am unable to connect to my home wireless router. It is secure. I am plain dumb when it comes to these kinds of things. I have been through the forum and can not find anything that works. I did the troubleshooting on the new computer and it said disconnect the router/modem...yeah that didn't do anything except make my old laptop disconnect from the net. Any help would be appreciated, i am taking this comp on a 7 month deployment coming up and would like to load it up with music and stuff.

Hi, According to your description, I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue: 1 Reinstall wireless driver 2 Check Windows 7 PC can search the wireless network signal at your home. 3 Restart wireless router, also check the router is compatible with Windows 7 or not, you can check it on: Windows 7 Compatibility Center 4 Take your Windows 7 PC to another wireless network place to see if it can connect. If the issue persist, there is a possible that your wireless hardware has broken, you’d better contact HP to check. Hope that helps.
