windows 7 hangs at welcome screen after password change
after a password change the desktop hangs at welcome screen, other users can log on and use the desktop. but that user can not unless you delete the local profile. what be casusing this problem

looks like the user account is damaged somehow might be time to backup and install windows clean as it appears to be a deep problem Windows MVP, paid Remote Assistance is available for XP, Vista and Windows 7. Hi k sosa, Thanks for the post! It suspect the user profile might be corrupted, please create a new user account to check if the issue persists. Meanwhile, open Event Viewer, check if there's any related logon records there.
