unable to change dates or times on some websites so unable to use grids re tv programmes on zap2it.com, or order tickets from ticketmaster.com-- have downloaded Windows 8 and the problem still exists, reinstalled clean copy of windows 7 but problem still there-- situation persists on all browsers, internet explorer, firefox, opera, chrome etc. -- thought perhaps java script, but all seems okay with that I am a 74 year old intermediate user and VERY non-technical, and any suggestions or remedy would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Clair Sedore

I do not understand what time and dates you want to change. There is system time and time zone and applications take time from system. Regards Milos

Clairesdore, Maybe, possibly, you need to config your browser options to update/refresh the page everytime it loads? OR: The newer pages don't allow that? Drop your browser support teams a blurb with your concerns...alot of them are quite helpful. Additionally: Set your "Browser > Temp Files > Space Allocated Low" you'll purge any Older stuff...maybe,could be that you've a setting that keeps U in frustration? Horatio

What grid? How did you do the re-install. On TOP of (meaning that you didn't reformat your disk (s?) internal/external? when you reloaded win 7? Is this a laptop, or standalone case with separate everything...monitor, speakers, webcam. The more detailed you get the better the picture you draw for these gurus....And like I said B 4, go online and open up a "CHAT" live session with your "browser at the time" tech at their website. If I'm remembering correctly (keep in mind that I'm waking up and 1st cup 'o coffee) all of the browser makers that you mentioned are very helpful. Don't get frustrated....write a novel (your description of sys, problem, what/how your doing it, details of install/reinstall....EVERYTHING), enjoy a cup 'o whatever, take your time.... horatio ps. "Copy" your novel to somewhere on your sys thats easy to find....;--)))

Hi Milos: I am unable to change the times or dates, other than for the current day. I used to be able to check the tv schedule for the week, but now can only check for the day it is. This is a fairly recent problem, and exists with ALL browsers, internet explorer, firefox, opera, google, etc. Thanks, Clair

Hi Horatio: My computer is a desktop with everything separate, and yes, I use all those browsers on the machine. As I said, I downloaded Windows 8 to try, and still had the same situation so uninstalled as I do not use computer for music or photos so there was a lot of extras that I would never use. Also redownloaded a clean copy of Windows 7 but problem is still there. Strangely, I can use TV Guide website and get the information I want, but I used to be able to find the programmes for a week at a time on zap2it, but now I can only get what is on that day, and I am unable to move the dates, or times dropdowns for other days. I have tried all the remedies that people have suggested but nothing seems to help the situation. I greatly appreciate your response, and being an intermediate user, and at 74, I find it difficult to explain the situation in computer terms Clair

I won't assume anything here and am going to start with very basic ones. I will use your above quote. So: 1. When you downloaded a "clean copy" of win 7(I will assume here that you also reinstalled the new copy) the new reinstall will probably wipe out/eliminate any settings/preferences/configurations that you had made before. That said, and referencing http://tylistings.zap2it.com/tvlististings/ZCGrid.do?aid=zap2 did you: 1. Have to "login" 2. "Set Preferences" 3. "Display Descriptions" And what I mean here is: Did you follow each link and do the above? And, the reason I ask is that when you did a reinstall it wipes out ALL cookies/preferences that you keep on your sys(system). So, Ma'am...? How 'bout we start here and go from this point...I will follow your thread. Horatio PS. Just came off your "zap2it....whatever" website. I followed a "Help" link and it opened into something that I think will help you. Follow this link: http://www.zap2it.com/services/site/help/zap-help-gettingstarted,0,3122155.htmlstory it just may help you...
