windows 7 new user document location default
Good day, I need to install a number of computers, with multiple users per computer. The computers will be moved around several locations (some without network). Also, the C-drive will be "imaged" at regular intervals. Because of this I want as little "user-created" data on the c-drive (except for appdata etc). Basically I want to move all data the user creates him/herself to the D-partition. (not including settings) So my first idea was to create a local policy which redirected Desktop, Downloads, Favorites, Links, My Documents, My Music, My Pictures My Videos, My Saved Games and Searches to a folder on D: (D:\data\%username%\). So if a new user logs on to the computer these folders are created in the right place at first logon. However, this doesn't seem possible on a local computer. Doing it by hand is what I've been doing. I was looking for LESS work, not more. Can anyone tell me how to accomplish what I've been describing? If you need more info, please tell me. English is not my native language, so I moght not be as clear as I think. sincerely, Thomas

Hitwcm73 As a workaround , I suggest that you can make a regular backup to the D partition.
