Run Chkdsk /f /r to detect and resolve any file system structural corruption. You must restart the system before the disk scan begins on a system partition.
Please also download memtest86+ [1], burn a new bootable CD (use a CD-RW if possible) from the ISO (download and use ImgBurn [2] to do this or make double click on the ISO in Windows 7), reboot your PC and scan your RAM 4-5hours for errors. If it detects
errors, replace the faulty RAM.
Also update the BIOS (yours is from 2007):

BiosReleaseDate = 11/02/2007
SystemManufacturer = HP-Pavilion

Hello Andre,
Thanks so much for the reply. I just finished running both tests, but could not find any problem. BTW, I used a flash drive to run the memtest86. I will let you know if I come across the same problem again.
On a side note, how can I update my bios. When I checked HP website, it's only giving me update that are compatible with Vista only. When I try to run it, it says it does not meet the minimum requirement. Any idea? My motherboard is

I ran the memtest86 for another 9 hours....still it couldn't find any problem. I have the uploaded the latest dump files as Dump2 here http://cid-3376df56415f6e1c.office.live.com/browse.aspx/Dump2
The blue screen appears when I am not using it. But when I keep doing something, it does not appear. When idle, it restarts and comes to the login page, it again shuts down and keeps doing it.

It still looks like a hardware issue . You get too many different crashes at one day. maybe the Motherboard is damaged or the RAM timings are too high..

Which RAM do you use? Can you please run CPU-Z [1] and post pictures of the SPD and memory tab?"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Here are the screenshots http://cid-3376df56415f6e1c.office.live.com/browse.aspx/.Public
In the morning, I opened my Desktop cover to see if anything is wrong with the memory. I took them out and installed again. The computer then stopped booting and giving me a beeping sound. I thought the connection is loose. BTW, my computer came with 2 GB
of RAM, then I installed another 2 GB RAM but with higher clock speed (I guess that wasn't the problem as they were performing well together for 2 years)
Anyway, the screenshots I uploaded are the 2 GB(2x1GB) RAM it originally came with. I am trying to see if my computer still crashes. If it does, then I am almost sure that one or both of the original RAMs are faulty. If it doesn't then it's probably
one or both of the later RAMs.

Sorry to bug you again....After removing my 2GB RAM, the other 2GB were working fine until recently ...I'm getting the same blue screen error again...So, I was thinking it's the damaged motherboard...or could be insufficient power supply(?)...My system
originally came with 2 GB of RAM and integrated video...Later on, I added ATI Radeon HD 512MB GPU and 2 more GB RAM while my power supply was only 250W and it's a 2007 system..So, can the problem be insufficient PSU? After experiencing BSOD so many times,
I'm thinking of upgrading now coz I can't figure out the problem..

The CR 1T can be the cause. Change the Command Rate to 2 in the BIOS."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

I didn't know how to change the CR to 2T but when I checked with CPU-Z, it showed 2T. Here is the screenshot http://cid-3376df56415f6e1c.office.live.com/browse.aspx/.Public?uc=2
Anyhow, I reinstalled my OS formatting my HDD. Still the problem persists. I have uploaded the new dump files here http://cid-3376df56415f6e1c.office.live.com/browse.aspx/.Public?uc=2
Please have a look and let me know. This is already bugging me for more than a month.
Thanks a lot.

The last picture shows CR1, the newer shows 2T. So you changed it.
The latest crash is casued by the ATI/AMD driver:

I updated the driver to 11.1 from the ATI website. Enabled verifier with non-microsoft drivers and disabled it after getting the BSOD. I uploaded the last two dump files (they were created 2 minutes apart) here named dump.zip http://cid-3376df56415f6e1c.office.live.com/browse.aspx/.Public?uc=1

It could be the motherboard, but after I removed my Graphics card, everything works perfectly....no more BSOD. Now I'm wondering if my other 2 GB RAM were malfunctioning due to the GPU in place!
February 6th, 2011 10:34pm
maybe. I don't use a graphic card any longer (only the IGP on my motherboard). But I remember that I also had trouble inserting some long graphic card because of the location of the RAM slots"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
