i have windows 7 operating system and I have norton internet security 2011 untivirus when I update it the internet explorer stop working why althoug I have connection and then I have to restart my pc to return working normaly then the explorer return back

Since your IE is not stable, i would suggest you to reset IE setting by opening up IE, next go to tools>internet options>advanced tab, under reset internet explorer setting, click on reset tab
