windows 7 won't shutdown. gives blue screen error
hi when i try to shut my windows down i get a blue screen error and it restarts. i have not recently installed anything other than a driver for my nvidia 9500 gt video card, and that was a few day ago. i have had this issue recently but it always shuts down on the 2nd attempt, however it has not shut down after 5 attempts now. this is the message it reboots back into windows. can anyone help me? If you can go to c:\windows\minidum and look for the latest *.dmp file and have it shared in your public skydrive the better. ok, in the meantime try this first. turn on your computer, don't do anything and wait for a minute or two then try to shut it down. does it go bsod?CESabarre Free Tech Support through Email.

Hi, I suggest go to test this issue in Safe Mode, Clean Boot and Device Clean Boot to determine the possible cause. Device Clean Boot ================= 1. Click Start, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar and press Enter. 2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers". 3. Right click on your sound card and then click "Properties. 4. In the dropdown menu of Device Usage, please choose "Do not use this device (disable)" and click OK. 5. Please use the same method to disable other dubious hardware such as: internal modem, network card and CD-R drive. Please note some devices such as video adapter are not available to be disabled. · If the issue persists, would you please upload more minidump files for further research? Collect Minidump Files ================= 1. Click "Start", input "SYSDM.CPL" (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press “Enter”. 2. Switch to the "Advanced" tab and click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery". 3. Under "Write debugging information" section, make sure the "Small memory dump (128KB)" option is selected. 4. Make sure "%SystemRoot%\Minidump" is in the "Small dump directory" open box and click “OK”. If the Blue Screen appears again, please refer to the following steps to collect memory dump files: 1.
