xp upgrade to win7
I upgraded to win 7 from xp, all other drivers were there apart from wireless. after a hour i managed to get driver on somehow and now i cannot get it to connect to wireless network. i dont know if ti is a problem with driver or win 7 as there is no windows wireless manager there and i cant find it.... I have manually put all settings in for network on adapter menu but botton right corner shows no signal or wireless signals.

Hi, After researching from the Dell website, I find that Dell does not provide the Dell Inspiron 8600 wireless network card driver for Windows 7. I would like to confirm that is the wireless network card driver you downloaded from Intel compatible with Windows 7? If it is not compatible with Windows 7, you may try to install it under Compatibility Mode or run Windows Update to search for the driver for Windows 7. If it does not work, it is recommended to purchase a Windows 7 compatible wireless network card.
